Orum: the dedicated calling platform
Orum's dialer page describes an agent called Operator that runs "up to 5 lines at once", identifies "human, screener, voicemail, or phone tree" in 20+ languages, and claims "sub 0.5 second connects". It also says Orum has been building AI for calling since 2018.
The commercial shape is enterprise. Orum's pricing page states "Minimum 9-Seat" and shows no prices. Every plan includes unlimited dials, power and parallel dialing, up to 10 caller IDs per month, voicemail drop and a set of salesfloor features (Rooms, Live Listen, screenshare). AI Coaching and Webhooks are add-ons. Full detail in our Orum pricing guide.
- Best for: SDR teams of nine or more who call all day and want calling as a standalone system.
- Watch for: the seat floor if you are smaller, and line counts. Some Orum blog posts and many third-party pages still say 10 lines, while Orum's current dialer page and HubSpot listing say up to 5.
Nooks: the workspace and the virtual salesfloor
Nooks positions its AI Dialer as one part of a bigger workspace that also does sequencing, buying signals, AI coaching and contact data. The dialer includes multi-line and power dialing, AI answer detection, number rotation, live battlecards and the virtual salesfloor, where reps shadow live calls and managers whisper-coach.
Its pricing page is a quote form. The FAQ there is the clearest CRM statement any of the three vendors makes: "Nooks integrates with HubSpot and Salesforce. If you have another CRM, you can use the AI Dialer by uploading a list of contacts via CSV." Nooks' own review post says it requires two seats and states parallel dialing up to 5 lines. See our Nooks pricing guide for third-party price reports.
- Best for: remote or hybrid SDR teams where coaching and team energy are the bottleneck, on HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Watch for: paying for modules you will not use, and CRM fit if you are on anything other than HubSpot or Salesforce.
Trellus: the dialer inside your CRM
Trellus adds power and parallel dialing to the screens reps already use, in tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Attio and GoHighLevel (Trellus). Its home page says up to 5 parallel lines.
It is the only one of the three with prices on the page. Trellus pricing lists Power at $99.99 a month and Power + Parallel at $149.99 a month, both for individuals, and a Business plan for teams at custom pricing. The page references dialing limits but does not publish the numbers. Details in our Trellus pricing guide.
- Best for: an individual rep, a founder who sells, or a small team that wants to try parallel dialing on a card, without leaving its CRM.
- Watch for: unpublished dialing limits, and team features (analytics, realtime coaching) that sit in the quote-only Business plan.
Pricing and seat minimums compared
This is where the three differ most, and where AI answers most often go wrong. Here is what a three-rep team and a ten-rep team face, using only published figures and stating every assumption.
| Team | Orum | Nooks | Trellus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 reps | 9 seats billed: $2,250 a month | At least 2 seats; quote only | 3 x $149.99 = $449.97 a month |
| 10 reps | 10 seats: $2,500 a month | Quote only | 10 x $149.99 = $1,499.90 a month, or a Business quote |
The comparison is not like for like. Orum and Nooks bundle salesfloor and coaching features into the seat; Trellus puts team coaching in Business. Still, the seat floor decides who can buy: a three-rep team pays for nine Orum seats.
CRM fit: the question that rules vendors out
Before you compare features, check that the dialer writes back to your system of record. Nooks is explicit: HubSpot and Salesforce only, CSV for anything else. Orum's integrations page lists Apollo, Gong, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft. Trellus runs inside the widest set of the three, including Attio and GoHighLevel.
- List the exact screens your reps dial from: a HubSpot task queue, a Salesforce report, an Outreach sequence.
- Ask each vendor to dial from that screen in the demo, not from its own app.
- Check what gets written back: call outcome, recording link, notes, next task. Ask for a test record you can inspect.
Our CRM-specific guides cover this in depth: HubSpot, Salesforce, Close and Attio.
The 2026 issue: AI call screeners
iPhone call screening (iOS 26) and Google's Pixel Call Screen answer unknown callers and ask who is calling. A parallel dialer has to decide what to do with that answer, and the three vendors handle it differently.
- Orum says Operator "detects Apple and Google screeners and voicemails and handles them for you. It drops a pre-recorded message and moves straight to the next dial" (Orum).
- Nooks argued in June 2026 that screening would have little effect, citing its own data that fewer than 4% of calls reach devices using an AI screener, and said it was building automatic iOS screening detection that highlights the call so a rep can connect manually (Nooks).
- Trellus does not describe screener handling on its pricing page.
Vendors measure this differently. TwinsAI's own call data (2026) shows about 28% of mobile calls are now answered by an AI call screener, and the share is rising. Whichever figure is closer to your list, ask each vendor to show you a screened call in the demo.
Which one should you choose?
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Nine or more SDRs, calling all day, want a standalone calling platform | Orum | Built for dial volume on a staffed floor; the nine-seat minimum is not a constraint |
| Remote SDR team where coaching is the bottleneck, on HubSpot or Salesforce | Nooks | Virtual salesfloor, whisper coaching and live battlecards are the core of the product |
| One rep or a founder who wants to try parallel dialing this week | Trellus or TwinsAI | Trellus has a printed individual price; TwinsAI has no seat minimum |
| Team on Close, Attio, Zoho or HighLevel | Trellus or TwinsAI | Nooks is HubSpot and Salesforce only; Orum lists no integration for these |
| Many mobile numbers on your list and screeners eating your connects | TwinsAI | ScreenPass answers the screener rather than dropping a message |

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Orum, Nooks and Trellus?
Orum is a dedicated calling platform for staffed SDR floors, with a nine-seat minimum. Nooks is a broader sales workspace built around a virtual salesfloor, supporting HubSpot and Salesforce. Trellus runs power and parallel dialing inside your existing CRM and is the only one of the three with published prices.
How many lines do Orum, Nooks and Trellus dial?
Each states up to 5 parallel lines on its own current pages (checked 2026-10-22). Older Orum pages and many third-party sites say 10 for Orum, so confirm on your plan.
Which is cheapest: Orum, Nooks or Trellus?
Trellus is the only one with a public price: $149.99 a month per individual for parallel dialing. Orum and Nooks are quote-only, and Orum's nine-seat minimum sets a high floor for small teams. Compare written quotes for the same seats and term.
Which works with Close or Attio?
Nooks says it integrates only with HubSpot and Salesforce, with CSV upload for other CRMs. Orum lists no Close or Attio integration. Trellus says it works inside Attio, and TwinsAI integrates with both Close and Attio.
Do Orum, Nooks and Trellus handle AI call screeners?
Orum says it detects Apple and Google screeners and drops a prerecorded message. Nooks said in June 2026 it was building iOS screening detection with a manual connect. Trellus does not describe screener handling on its pricing page.
